Dayenu for Palestinian Liberation adapts an ancient prayersong into an invocation for a Free Palestine now.
A fifteen-line poem, found in the first known Haggadah from over 1000 years ago in Mesopotamia, the traditional Dayenu anchors a refrain of If only ……. it would have been enough….
In this time of genocide and occupation …
it will ONLY be enough when Palestine is safe, sovereign and free.
Dayenu for Palestinian Liberation adapts the widely-known Dayenu melody (possibly based on a 15th century German folksong) into an offering that is more slow ~ to make space for breath, presence, prayer and transformation ~ one where breath, sound and intention come together to become a sacred incantation for Palestinian Liberation.
Thank you for joining us in ritual and in action for a safe, sovereign and Free Palestine.
Dayenu for Palestinian Liberation
As we work for Palestinian Liberation
Not In Our Name, a sacred incantation
May there be full end to genocide and occupation
Dayenu
Let us pray that this comes to be
From the River to the Sea
Palestine will be free
Dayenu
